Q. Can I use my battery Airflo plugged into the mains power supply?
A. The battery Airflo will work while plugged into the mains, but it will still be running off the battery power. The batteries will charge when the Airflo is not in use but any operation will halt the charging and power will be drained from the batteries. For heavy use we would recommend that you use an Airflo Mains compressor.
Q. Is there somewhere near me I can go to see this product?
A. There are a number of outlets around the UK that stock Mangar International’s products. Not every outlet carries every one of our products and prices may vary. For your local dealers please call Head Office on 01544 267674.
Q. My invoice and VAT form aren't in the box with the product, where are they?
A. We send the Invoice and VAT form separately from your product, they should usually arrive a couple of days after the goods. If you have not received them within a week please call us on 01544 267674 and we will send copies.
Q. Why do I have to pay VAT now? Last time I ordered I filled in a form and didn’t have to pay it.
A. After consulting with the VAT office Mangar International now has to charge VAT on all orders. Customers who are VAT exempt can fill out a short form which once returned to our Head Office will enable us to refund their VAT. Guidance on eligibility is available from the National Advice Service on 0845 010 9000.
Q. Can I take my product on holiday?
A. Yes, all our equipment is portable and is suitable for use throughout the world. Use your normal travel plug. (Both Mains & Battery powered Airflos can be used in countries with a voltage range between 220v & 240v, however, a suitable mains travel plug adaptor will need to be used where appropriate. NOTE: If taking a Mains powered Airflo to a country with 110v supply, a 110v to 230v step up transformer will be required. If taking a Battery powered Airflo to a country with 110v supply, a 110v Airfo battery charger can be purchased through Mangar International).
Q. How often would you recommend that I have my equipment serviced?
A. Once every twelve months, as this would ensure that a certain standard of maintenance is kept and any adjustment or rectification can be done without loss of usage by the user.
Q. I sent the VAT form back a week ago but have not yet received my refund.
A. VAT refunds are paid in the same manner in which the order was placed. If you paid by a credit or debit card then we will credit your card to the value of your VAT. Customers who paid by cheque will receive a cheque back from us. If after a week you have not received your cheque, or refund onto your card, please call our Head Office on 01544 267674 to ensure we have received your VAT form back.
Q. How many baths can I get out of 1 charge?
A. The amount of baths can vary on a number of factors; how much the user or users weight, how old the batteries are and most importantly, how well the batteries have been maintained and charged since purchase. We recommend that batteries are left on charge when not in use. Not only will this mean they are always ready to give enough power for several baths, it will also keep the batteries in optimum condition for a longer life.
Q. Do I leave the Bathing Cushion inflated after I use it?
A. We advise that if possible you leave the Bathing Cushion inflated after you have finished bathing. It will go down itself after 60 to 90 minutes, in which time it will have had a chance to dry off before being removed and stored. You may of course dry the product with a towel if you need to remove and store it immediately. We also advise the product is cleaned properly once a week, or more often if you are using bath oils. Cleaning instructions are included in the User Manual.General FAQs
Q. My bath is narrow will the Bathing Cushion too wide for it?
A. Due to the inflatable nature of the Bathing Cushion it lends itself well to narrow baths. It will only take up the width that the bath allows it to, and the low pressure Airflo with double safety features cannot allow the Bathing Cushion to inflate with enough pressure to cause damage to baths. A narrow bath will provide even greater stability when using the product. As the Bathing Cushion deflates to ‘almost flat’ it is also very suitable for short baths.
Q. Can bath oils and oil based products be used with my Bathing Cushion?
A. Yes, but we would recommend that you thoroughly clean the Bathing Cushion after use.
Q. How should I remove the Bathing Cushion from the bath?
A. Place your fingertips underneath the back two suckers and lift. Slide a towel under the back suckers to stop them re-adhering and repeat for the front two. The Bathing Cushion should then be free to lift out of the bath.
Q. When deflating my Bathing Cushion, there is sometimes a release of air and it deflates very slowly.
A. This is normal when there is no weight upon the inflatable Bathing Cushion.
Q. What is the best way to transfer onto the Bathing Cushion?
A. When transferring onto the Bathing Cushion, please ensure that you sit well back on the seat before lowering into the bath.
Q. How can I prolong the life of my Bathing Cushion?
A. We recommend that you regularly clean the Bathing Cushion after use. This can be done using any domestic bath cleaner. To assist the drying of the Bathing Cushion you should leave it fully inflated with the compressor switched off. DO NOT use hot air to dry.
