Over the past 30 years Mangar have won a number of awards, of which we are extremely proud. Our most recent achievement is that of Andrew Barker, Managing Director of Mangar who was selected as one of three finalists in the Leadership category for the Powys Business Awards. The Awards Ceremony took place on Tuesday 27th September at the Theatr Hafren in Newtown.

The Leadership Award, sponsored by Leadership & Management Wales (LMW), was open to all leaders across all sectors in Powys. The nominees were required to show significant leadership skills and strength, be inspiring and motivational, promote change and encourage innovation, recognise team and individual success and be committed to staff and personal development.

Andrew Barker MBA FCIM Chartered Marketer studied European Business Management before starting his professional career with Volkswagen AG in Germany. There followed a variety of roles within VW culminating in Head of Marketing & Sales for Asia Pacific region. In 2006 Andrew was appointed Managing Director for Mangar International.

The winner of the Leadership Award was Victoria Humpherston of Abbey Cwm Hir, Llandrindod Wells who acquired a large mansion and converted it into an unusual tourist attraction.
