We will be showcasing our latest product, the Airstack at the Moving & Handling People event on 3rd and 4th February on stand D at the Business Design Centre, Islington. The Airstack inflates to lift a person in a supine position from the floor to bed or trolley height. It minimises the risk in lateral transfers protecting both the carer and the patient. The Airstack can be used in conjunction with the AirSlide making it even easier to laterally transfer a person.

The annual Moving & Handling People event has become recognised as the professional event for those working in this area of practice, designed for both hands-on practitioners and managers with a strategic role in risk management and moving and handling in their organisation.

Key to safer people handling is an awareness of handling techniques and the use of equipment but also understanding how moving and handling is part of health and safety for everyone – carer, patient and client – and how these fit into the wider context of risk management.
