  • Can bath oils and oil based products be used with my bathlift?

Yes, but we would recommend that you thoroughly clean the product after use.

  • Can I take my product on holiday?

Yes, all our equipment is portable and is suitable for use throughout the world. Use your normal travel plug. (Both Mains & Battery powered Airflos can be used in countries with a voltage range between 220v & 240v, however, a suitable mains travel plug adaptor will need to be used where appropriate. NOTE: If taking a Mains powered Airflo to a country with 110v supply, a 110v to 230v step up transformer will be required. If taking a Battery powered Airflo to a country with 110v supply, a 110v Airfo battery charger can be purchased through Mangar International).

  • Can I use my battery Airflo plugged into the mains power supply?

The battery Airflo will work while plugged into the mains, but it will still be running off the battery power. The batteries will charge when the Airflo is not in use but any operation will halt the charging and power will be drained from the batteries. For heavy use we would recommend that you use an Airflo Mains compressor.

  • Can someone install my Archimedes for me?

The Archimedes is very simple to fit and most users will not require professional installation. You can fit the Archimedes in one piece, or easily dismantle it into 3 lighter parts to aid installation. Full fitting instructions are provided with the product in the User Manual. Fitting is as simple as lining the Archimedes up at the most appropriate position in the bath and pressing the suction cups down firmly to secure it. Mangar International can provide installation but it is not included in the purchase price, please call our Head Office on 01544 267674 for more details.

  • Do I leave the Bathing Cushion inflated after I use it?

We advise that if possible you leave the Bathing Cushion inflated after you have finished bathing. It will go down itself after 60 to 90 minutes, in which time it will have had a chance to dry off before being removed and stored. You may of course dry the product with a towel if you need to remove and store it immediately. We also advise the product is cleaned properly once a week, or more often if you are using bath oils. Cleaning instructions are included in the User Manual.General FAQs

  • How can I make sure the suckers (suction cups) stick firmly to the bath?

We suggest you regularly wipe over the bottom of the four suckers (suction cups) on the base of the bath lift, as this will make sure they have the maximum adhesion onto your bath.

  • How do I put the hand control on charge?

Disconnect the hand control from the actuator, connect the hand control to the battery charger. Plug the battery charger into a mains power supply outside the bathroom and switch on. The amber light on the charger will light up to indicate that the charger is properly connected to the hand control.

  • How many baths can I get out of 1 charge?

The amount of baths can vary on a number of factors; how much the user or users weight, how old the batteries are and most importantly, how well the batteries have been maintained and charged since purchase. We recommend that batteries are left on charge when not in use. Not only will this mean they are always ready to give enough power for several baths, it will also keep the batteries in optimum condition for a longer life.General FAQs
